Unsmoke (“we”, “us”, “our”) helps people plan and sustain a smoke-free life using respiratory insights,
behavioural coaching, and conversational support. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use,
disclose, and protect information about you when you use the Unsmoke mobile application, website, and
related services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide directly

when you sign in with Google OAuth.
- Smoking behaviour including years smoking, puffs per day, first cigarette time,
triggers, previous quit attempts, cravings, relapse notes, and taper plan selections.
- Health and wellness inputs like breath-hold durations, spirometry values, chronic
conditions, medications, stress levels, enjoyed activities, and motivation scores.
- Financial data related to tobacco spending, currencies, and savings goals.
- Support preferences such as AI companion choices, desired check-in cadence, and peer
support interest.
- Communications when you contact us, respond to surveys, or participate in beta

1.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data such as feature interactions, completed onboarding steps, and timestamps
used to personalise journeys and measure engagement.
- Device and technical data including device model, OS version, IP address, locale, and
in-app diagnostic logs to keep the app secure and reliable.
1.3 Information from third parties
- Authentication providers: We receive basic profile information from Google when you
sign in.
2. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your Unsmoke account and personalised onboarding experience.
- To generate tailored quit plans, savings projections, relapse prevention tips, and breathing exercises.
- To provide AI-powered coaching and support conversations you initiate.
- To analyse aggregate usage trends, product performance, and health outcomes so we can improve the
Services.
- To communicate important updates, beta opportunities, security alerts, and customer support responses.
- To enforce our Terms of Service, protect against fraud or abuse, and comply with applicable laws.
3. Legal bases for processing
We rely on the following legal bases under applicable data protection laws:
- Consent for health, behavioural, and savings data that you voluntarily provide and for
optional communications.
- Performance of a contract to deliver the Services you request, including personalised
plans and feature access.
- Legitimate interests to secure our platform, prevent misuse, and improve effectiveness,
balanced against your privacy rights.
- Legal obligations when we must retain or disclose information to comply with law or
valid government requests.
4. How we share information
We share data only when necessary:
- Service providers: Supabase hosts our authentication services, providing
encryption, role-based access, and logging. We may use trusted tooling for analytics, error monitoring,
email delivery, and customer support—all bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or to
protect rights, safety, or security.
- Business transfers: If we explore a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we will
ensure any successor remains bound by equivalent privacy commitments.
We never sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as you maintain an account or as needed to provide the Services. You may
delete your data at any time by contacting us. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule
and residual copies may persist for up to 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised insights may be retained
indefinitely for research and product development.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit, at-rest encryption provided by Supabase, role-based access controls, and
regular security reviews. Internal access to identifiable data is limited to personnel with a demonstrable
need to support you or maintain the Services.
7. Children
Unsmoke is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If
you believe a minor has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be announced via in-app notice or
email. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Services after changes
means you accept the revised policy.
9. Contact us
